Installation Instructions

  2. Insertion: Align the SC connector's keyway with the adapter's key slot, then gently insert the connector into the adapter port until a "click" sound is heard, indicating the connector is securely locked.
  3. Verification: Confirm the connector is fully inserted and locked. For duplex applications, repeat the insertion process for the second port.
  4. Removal: To disconnect, press the connector's release tab and gently pull the connector out of the adapter port.

Precautions

  • Cleanliness: Always keep the connector end faces and adapter ports clean to avoid signal loss or damage. Do not touch the fiber end faces with bare hands.
  • Handling: Avoid excessive force when inserting or removing connectors to prevent damage to the adapter or fiber connectors.
  • Environment: Install the adapter in a dry, dust-free environment. Avoid exposure to high temperatures, humidity, or corrosive substances.
  • Compatibility: Ensure the fiber type (single-mode/multi-mode) and connector polish type (UPC/APC) match the application requirements.
  • Safety: Follow standard fiber optic safety procedures. Do not look directly into the fiber end faces when the laser is active to avoid eye damage.
